ABOUT MARY L. MILLS
I’ve been blessed since starting HodgePodge in Lunenburg.
In my early days, I lived in Montreal & Mexico working in well known kitchens being mentored by some very talented chefs. I’ve also been blessed to work at Julien’s Bakery in Chester which has been a life-long influence.
In 2018, I moved home to the South Shore and started, what is now known, as HodgePodge Lunenburg Eatery.
My entrepreneurial journey has included catering for the Oak Island series on the History Channel for 5 years, where I brought my culinary expertise and creative vision.
Creating flavour and standing out from the crowd is my passion. I am very thankful for my family, friends and the South Shore community where they have supported my team and I since the beginning.

This place has it all - great food, service and environment. We enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches here during a recent stay in Lunenburg. The made on the premises pot pies were the best we have every eaten. They are available for onsite or takeout. They were delicious either way. The freshly made every morning scones, empanadas and sausage rolls made it hard to decide what to order so we ordered more than one each day and enjoyed them all…

We stopped in just before Christmas, when Mary first opened ... We ordered Meat Pies... Mine was very good... Generous big chunks of Beef... My husband had a curried one, and enjoyed it...
Wes stopped by another time, and I had one of the BEST Grilled Cheese sandwiches I have EVER eaten!! There was more than one type of Cheese in it, and it was crunchy-oozy DELICIOUS throughout!! The Mincemeat Tarts were exceptionally good! There's a great cheese section on display... We will go back!

We had the pleasure of stumbling on this little gem recently on a visit to Lunenburg. Located on one of the main streets, it was right in our path. The interior of Hodgepodge is true to its name with a fun and eclectic interior design.

You can find us at Hubbards Farmer’s Market April though October from 8-12. HodgePodge, in partnership with Boulangerie La Vendeenne offer a large selection of fresh bread, sweets and savoury items. Get there early, as we tend to sell out quickly.
